Supporting Strong Early Learning

High-quality early learning experiences lay the foundation for long-term academic success, language development, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth. Research shows that 90% of brain development happens before age five, making access to strong, developmentally appropriate instructional materials especially important in pre-K classrooms.

As states and districts continue investing in early learning, educators and program leaders need independent information to help guide curriculum decisions. EdReports’ inaugural pre-K curriculum reviews were designed to support that need by providing transparent, research-informed evidence about the quality of pre-K instructional materials.
